One of my regular and beloved clients at TMD was Southgate Education, and the task that was usually accomplished for them was the creation of companion guides for Broadway shows. These guides were meant to serve as educational pieces for teachers or group leaders that would bring individuals to the theater. These pieces would touch on themes addressed in the show and their relation to relevant real world events and people, both current and historic. The LES MISERABLES guide was perhaps the most enjoyable to work on given the richness of the assets available to build it, creating a piece that mimicked the feel and aesthetic of the new production. The piece itself was made available as both an online e-pub flip book and could be printed out as a traditional pdf as well.
